Click on read more for the report Levi posted for the Hants Cup game ....
Coburgs march towards European cup glory took an impressive step forward with an emphatic win against the team who were rumoured to be favourtes. After Nelly got us lost we finally got to the ground and wasted no time in getting out of our grandad gear and on with a strict warm up. It done us a world a good as straight from kick off we pressured the home side and within minutes LEVI TEVEZ tackled their full back on the half way line and sprinted through before firing in awesome finish into the top corner from 25 yards out past the advancing keeper. A finish worthy of the European cup final itself rather than the knockout stages. We continued to battle hard, with the defence playing particulary well in keeping the oppostion threat to long shots only. Unfortunately their number 9 and 2 had a pretty powerful shot, but Bucko Schmiechel was more than up to the challenge, beating away some impressive shots with no real problems. Baker and Bradley battled well in midfield, winning plently of challenges and giving them no time on the ball. Levi and Chris both had a chance to put us further in front but were unable to provide the clinical finish for which they are world renown. We went into half time with the one goal advantage and Morety Mancini told us to kill the game off early in the second. We did just that. Sam delivered a superb corner which Baker rose highest to nod goal bound. CHALKY FERDINAND was prowling near the line like he does and nodded the ball into the net to put u 2-0 up. Within minutes THEO WALCOTT/McCLUCKIE brought down a crossfield pass with his head before firing a half volley which the keeper couldn't hold and could only watch helplessly as it trickled over the line. Sam was pretty chuffed that he scored. Our final goal was all about the build up, one the one that Morety Mancini has been asking for all season. The build up started on the left wing with the midfiled passing the ball around well. It was switched to Sam out on the right who had to jump over the left backs challenge for the tenth time (he seemed to want to muller Sam like a yoghurt for some reason) Sam put a cross into the box and LEVI PARKMAN/ROONEY rose well and glanced a near post header past the static keeper. With 2o minutes still on the clock el capitano and Chalky decided to get 'cramp' and a 'back injury' so they could go up front. Malc was subbed off due to another injury which left us to play out the final 15 minutes with basically 9 men.....
