31/10/09 Comb 2 COBURG RESERVES 3 (S Segal (pen), Mills, Hayles) NITON RESERVES 1.
team: The Bean, Teal, Big Stuart (D Baker), Sweatman, Anthony, Shaun Hammond, Mills, Kwankeaw, Rogers, Segal, Hayles.

Bossman Kev was without his number two, chairman Nelly, as he was looking after the first team and also had lost five players to the first team so this win after going behind was a sweet one.
After dominating the first quarter of an hour against a capable but ageing Niton side, we conceeded a header from a corner.
The away side then took control as our passing and discipline went astray.
Eddie was booked for dissent, the usual moaning started to resurface and if Niton had scored the next goal we could have fallen to pieces.
A penalty shout for a foul on Sweaty was not given but minutes later the ref gave us a spot kick after a push inside the box and Steven SEAGAL erased the memory of his recent miss from the spot to draw us level.
Within a minute we were 2-1 up Robbie MILLS finished off a great move involving Kwankeaw, Seagal and Hayles down the right.
We had the ball in the net again before half time but the ref disallowed it for pushing on their rotund keeper, HT 2-1.
Kev told the lads to stop diving in and to be confident on the ball as the next goal would be crucial, and it turned out to be so.
Throughout the game, there was little between the teams but the younger legs of Coburg were probably the difference as we created chances from all over the pitch and Niton only tested the Bean on a few occasions. The winning goal was started by Shaun H, who fed Eddie who danced past a few challenges to the byeline and took a heavy challenge as he crossed for Dave HAYLES to slot home.
Bakes came on for the last half hour and although we didn't score again, we were never in any danger as Robbie was as dominant as always in the middle and Sweaty commanded from the back, ably supported by Ant and Richie.
This win keeps us third with second placed Ventnor to play next week.
MOM: Robbie Mills."
