Any players out there?
If you are looking for a game you could do a lot worse than join our friendly and well organised club (as you can tell from the website and the banter in the shoutbox and match reports!) - the mighty Osborne Coburg. See the postings on the site for details of training and matches, including friendlies. If you want to come along and meet the teams and managers just turn up, alternatively type something in the shoutbox at the bottom left of the page. |

Online Footy Management Game
Anyone like playing these games? There is a free one here -
www.trophymanager.com
There is a Pro version as well, you can buy 3 months of the Pro version for about a fiver, revenue goes to improving the game support and server etc. MightyBurg won their division in their first season! You can register at the site at any time, new teams are put in new divisions so you can end up playing teams from all over England. There is also an IOW league being set up, so if you do sign up let me know by putting a message in the shoutbox and you can join that. Enjoy! |

Ex-Burger Dan Goldsmiths - new band!
Dans band The Sneers appeared in a charity event at the IOW Community Club (Plessey Club!) recently. Video of the event is going on youtube in the MightyBurg account. My favourite is this one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M_vrXdgkQA |

| 29/06/08 DETAILS OF JUNE COMMITTEE MEETING |
|
Having hit an all time low of £8 in the club kitty last month, we are now a little more solvent with £300 in our account. The reason for the shortfall in May was outstanding match subs with managers and the ordering of trophies for the end of season do and the money in this month came from end of season match subs, Morety's car racing at the do and the coburg lottery.
Match fees for next season will be going up to £4 (£1.50 FOR subs). For those that have signed up for the club lottery match fees will be £3.50.
Thanks to those players that have signed up for the Coburg lottery, Morety and Richie will be asking ALL players to do so as the club is as always in need of income to keep going. First team manager Paul Moreton was the lottery winner for June winning £27 (with number 27!).
Training is every monday from 7-9 at Appley beach, and every wednesday at a mystery destination each week (Morety will text you each week), Training under the lights at Osborne middle will start on Wed Sept 10 from 7-9 £2.
The celebrations for the clubs 25th anniversary this year will be held on Sat Aug 23 with a game between ex Burgers and the current squad followed by a pre season get together with live bands, karaoke and beer that evening at Northwood Cricket club. Tickets will be £5 each children free, details to follow.
Next Committee meeting is on Tue 15 July 8pm.

Sorry lads but not had time to do a full match report but just wanted to say everyone and I mean everyone worked themselves into the ground in this one. I just dont know what we need to do to beat Wroxall. Just so he is not missed Lewie pulled off some cracking save just as he did against Arreton."
